TITLE Improving Writing Skill by Using Interactive Multimedia to encourage student to think critically and creatively

ABSTRACT
This study aimed to (1) design English writing activities by using interactive multimedia with a required efficiency of 70/70 (2) examine the effectiveness index of using interactive multimedia to improve writing skills (3) compare English writing skills before and after using interactive multimedia. (4) study learning behavior in critical and creative writing. The samples were 17 Mattayomsuksa 3 students. The instruments used in the experiment were 4 lesson plans to improve the English writing skills by using interactive multimedia and pre-test and post-test. The data were statistically analyzed by mean, percentage, standard deviation and t-test. The results of the studying revealed that English writing activities which were designed by using interactive multimedia reached its efficiency of 60.80/58.53. It was lower than the criterion (70/70). The effectiveness index was 0.2617 indicated that the students were able to improve their learning at 26.17 %. The post-test scores of the students were significantly higher than pre-test scores of the students at the .05 level.
It shows that using interactive multimedia to improve English writing skills is a good way to get the attention of secondary school students. They encourage students to think critically and creatively and write more effectively. In addition, interactive multimedia also helps students to be more active in learning activity.
